From undersized university point guard, to the MVP of the 2014 Basketball National League season, and now adding “3 time BNL champion” to his list of accomplishments, Tich has experienced a whirlwind career in the last six years.
In the inaugural BNL season (2013), the Zimbabwean born point guard achieved AfroBasket.com All-BNL 1st Team status with the championship winning Tshwane Suns. He was also the Afrobasket.com Point guard of the year, and Defensive player of the year.
In the second season of the league, Tich was instrumental in the Tshwane Suns defending their championship, and was selected as a BNL All Star as well as
the Most Valuable Player in the 2014 BNL season.
ACTUARIAL ANALYST & BI DEVELOPER
Tich holds a BSc in Actuarial and Finanacial Mathematics from the University of Pretoria, and a BCom in Actuarial Science from the National University of Science and Technology. He's currently studying towards his professional actuarial qualification, while working as an Actuarial Analyst & Business Intelligence Developer in the healthcare space.
NBA TELEVISION ANALYST AT KWESE SPORTS
Tich is currently an NBA analyst with Kwese TV, appearing on weekends on Kwese NBA Live, and Kwese NBA Tipoff. He uses his analytical background to help him delve deeper into the analytical side of the game, particularly the advanced metrics that go beyond the box score and how they can be used to analyse past and predict future player and team tendencies.
He is a creative individual who does graphic design, video editing, and art. He's also learning other languages, is an avid painter and is learning different musical instruments.
COACHING & COMMUNITY
Tich also coaches basketball as a way of giving back to the game. He's previously been on the coaching staff for the Soweto Raptors ladies basketball team, and he mentors and coaches a few high school and college basketball players.

Tich has appeared on the cover of the Hoop City magazine for their December 2014 issue. He is a regular analyst on Kwese Sports TV covering the NBA. He has also appeared on the ETV Sunrise show to promote the launch of the Basketball National League in June 2015, and has been a guest analyst for the Supersport Crossover Basketball show
Tich recently participated in the BET & NBA Africa Celebrity Basketball Game. The rosters included notable celebrities such as Khanyi Mbau, Stilo Magolide, Twins on Decks, Kgotso Mokoena, DJ Dimplez, DJ Ako, Patty Monroe, Reason, Shugasmakx, and Riky Rick
